    “I have always loved animals and had many dogs in our family growing up in Portugal and after entering a relationship with Amey and spending more time with all the dogs my love for them grew even more and I started helping Amey with her business. My favourite part of the job is doing the puppy visits and seeing them grow and develop into great adult dogs. We live with four dogs, Troy, Ezra, Montie & Run.”

    My love for dogs started early, growing up in Portugal with two amazing companions—a Poodle and later a Portuguese Water Dog. Weekends were always spent outdoors with them and friends’ dogs, which became some of my happiest memories. After more than 15 years in hospitality, I found myself craving something more meaningful—I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life managing people and handling complaints. When I got my Labrador, now three years old (and thoroughly spoiled!), everything changed. Not long after, I met Amey and Fabio, who offered me the incredible opportunity to work with dogs. I asked myself, “Could I really get paid to do what I love and maybe even become a dog trainer one day?” The answer was an easy yes.

    My name is Michael. I like music, nature, my cat Toast, and I have always loved dogs since growing up with a mischievous labradoodle! Taking her on long walks was my favourite thing to do. I love being a dog walker because all of our lovely dogs are such an endless source of fun, love and wonder. It’s such an honour to form so many special bonds, and to see them make friends and grow up with each other.

    Hi, I’m Sigourney! I’ve been part of the Among Dogs team since December 2025, and I genuinely can’t imagine a better job. I grew up with Dalmatians, so dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and now I have a miniature Dachshund called Frank, who definitely keeps me on my toes! I love getting to know each dog’s unique personality and making every walk an exciting adventure. Whether we’re exploring the forest, playing with friends, or simply enjoying the outdoors, my goal is to make every walk enriching, fun, and safe. There’s nothing better than seeing their wagging tails, and happy faces at the end of our walks!
